I graduated from Temple University with a BA in Anthropology in 2017. In my classes, we learned that the best way to understand something is by immersing yourself in its context. Taking notes, asking questions, and jumping in to participate reveals insights that can’t be uncovered any other way.
After graduating I began working as a paralegal, an experience that honed my problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage the competing demands and deadlines of multiple projects at once. Still, I was determined to find a career where I could use my creativity, curiosity, and qualitative research skills in a real world context. That’s when I discovered UX.
In late 2019, I enrolled in Designlab UX Academy and began my career transition. As a researcher and designer, I love that I get to uncover a little piece of truth with each project and use that knowledge to create something that addresses a real need.
